👀🔙 We look back on our year with 15 outright wins 🥇 with our team of young horses. A total of 4 sales with the last one of the year completing a few days ago with 🐴Nobel Heart. 

With our oldest horses this year only being 7 years of age we look forward to 🐴Mowgli C and 🐴Cornet’s Ghost turning 8yo tomorrow and moving up the ranks. 

Highlights of our year include 🐴Thor’s 5yo Grand Prix win 🏆 in Sentower Park🇧🇪 in May, 🐴Ofira placing 5th in the Holger Hetzel🇩🇪 5yo Final and 🐴Mowgli nailing his first 1m45 also at this fantastic show. Van Mossel Cup🇳🇱 gave us 2 qualifications for the 🌍World Championship's in Lanaken🇧🇪 again and 🐴Doris showed us his potential placing 1st 🥇& 2nd 🥈in his first ever style competitions. It was a pleasure to be selected for the AES team once again in Valkenswaard🇳🇱 and 🐴Ofira ended the year with our last international win 🏆 at Azelhof🇧🇪. 
And not forgetting Michael turning 4️⃣0️⃣ 🎁🪩 and ending the year with a fantastic party at Woodborough Hall. 

👀⏩We look forward to starting the New Year at Addington EC🇬🇧 before heading to Azelhof🇧🇪 once again.

Our Go-To for Irrigation!

Zoe had previously encountered Hortech in 2005 for irrigation on her arena in Essex, nearly 20 years later the irrigation still works perfectly and has rarely had any break downs, the system is easy to use and drain down in the winter months too. 

As the new arena at Lambley House was quite a lot more extensive than Zoe's old one, Wayne & the team came out to make a plan to get the best out of the new borehole system to accurately keep the new surface in top condition. This is made up of ten high pressure sprinklers around the outside that work at 180° and two in the middle that work at 360°. These all ensure even coverage of the area so that the ultimate riding conditions are maintained.

More recently on completion of the lunge arena, irrigation was also required to keep the sand and fibre surface in good shape. This time the needs were a little different given that this space is covered and requires year-round irrigation, the team designed another fantastic system. With six sprinklers working three-at-a-time on a lesser pressured system, again achieving maximum coverage of the area and with double insulation around all pipes and fittings the system can withstand even the coldest of temperatures. The B&M team were also part of the action building the pump shed out of some leftover roof insulation panels to ensure the tank and electric system are also frost-free.

We are grateful to be supplied by this TOP quality shavings company. We love using Jenkinson’s shavings for our horses, at home or away we can be certain our horses are bedded on the best quality shavings. We can be confident that their health isn’t compromised by unwanted dust particles entering their systems and that they are comfortable and dry in their stables. 

We use a mixture of Natural & Small flake shavings in our stables.

Cantrell Arenas have been a big part of our upgrades to the farm over the years. 

The first job undertaken for us was on our original 60x30m sand and rubber arena where the sand had become very hard on the base over the years and there was a drainage issue at one end. Darren did a fantastic job resurrecting the surface and repairing the drainage issue before we decided to upgrade the size of the arena, fencing and surface a few years later. This gave us a NEW 70x35m sand and fibre arena in 2017. 
In 2021 we decided to upgrade again, this time extending the outdoor arena to ~ 70x75m keeping the existing surface and topping up with A LOT more Premium sand and fibre surface to complete the job. The finish of the kick boards, landscaping and drainage are to a fantastically high standard and we are delighted with the results of the upgrade. 
During the period of working with Darren he also provided us with more sand and fibre surface which was originally used in our indoor arena but has now been relocated to our lunge arena. Darren also completed the groundwork for our horse walker upgrade including sourcing and laying of the concrete and all clay removal from site as well as providing more sand and fibre to go in the grids for the final surface on the 20m track.
