Well it seems I’ve been a little slack with the blog posts since…May 2017! OOPS!
So New Years Resolution…a blog post every month to keep you updated with the on-going’s at Lambley House.
Oh dear…it appears I have broken that one already as it’s now February! Ok so let’s start fresh from now then! I can fill you in on January now anyway.
There wouldn’t be loads to say about January other than it was very cold, so for us it was about keeping the horses ticking over and getting some consistent rounds in at our local shows so that we know what we are doing when the weather improves, and we can crack on a bit. Michael has also been busy with his teaching and we have had a couple of riders that have been with us for some longer-term training which has worked out well.
February seems to be nearly over very quickly this year with no signs of ski holidays, weddings, honeymoons and visiting friends at WEF in Florida, except our 1st Wedding Anniversary, so horses and shows it is then!
We have just returned from Peelbergen in Holland, which boasted an amazing venue and great jumping. It was a bit of a lean show in terms of prizes won for the Lambley House team but a lot of experience was taken away by ourselves, the horses and our pupils, Alice & Sadie.
Now the snow seems to have set in for the final week of February here at Lambley House so we hope for some better weather as we head into March, but with the fortunes of our indoor school we are able to keep the horses going which is of most importance to us. Hope you’re all keeping warm out there and I leave you with a photo of Lily enjoying the snow earlier today.
